Staff Nurse

Job Summary:The Staff Nurse in an IVF hospital is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments. The role involves patient preparation, assistance during procedures, medication administration, counseling support, and coordination with doctors and embryology teams while maintaining strict confidentiality and infection control standards.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare patients for IVF, IUI, OPU, ET, and related fertility procedures.</li><li>Assist doctors during clinical and minor OT procedures.</li><li>Administer injections, IV fluids, and medications as per doctor&rsquo;s orders.</li><li>Monitor patient vitals before, during, and after procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records in HMS.</li><li>Provide emotional support and basic counseling to patients and families.</li><li>Educate patients on treatment protocols, medication usage, and follow-up care.</li><li>Ensure adherence to infection control, OT protocols, and safety standards.</li><li>Handle biomedical waste as per hospital and statutory guidelines.</li><li>Coordinate with embryology, pharmacy, front desk, and billing teams.</li><li>Maintain stock of medicines, consumables, and emergency drugs.</li><li>Assist in audits, NABH documentation, and quality initiatives.</li><li>Follow hospital policies, confidentiality norms, and ethical practices.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Sound knowledge of IVF and fertility procedures (preferred).</li><li>Strong clinical nursing skills and patient care orientation.</li><li>Good communication and counseling skills.</li><li>Ability to handle emotionally sensitive patients with empathy.</li><li>Basic computer skills (HMS, EMR, MS Office).</li><li>Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.</li></ul>Educational Qualification:<ul><li>GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing.</li><li>Valid Nursing Council Registration (State Nursing Council mandatory).</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>1&ndash;3 years of clinical experience preferred.</li><li>Experience in IVF / OT / Gynecology / Maternity setup is an advantage.</li><li>Freshers with IVF training may also be considered.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Shift-based duty (including nights, weekends, and holidays).</li><li>Exposure to OT and clinical environments.</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):<ul><li>Quality of patient care and adherence to protocols</li><li>Documentation accuracy</li><li>Patient satisfaction and compliance</li><li>Infection control compliance</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person

Job PurposeTo provide psychological counselling and emotional support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment, helping them cope with stress, anxiety, treatment outcomes, and decision-making during the IVF journey.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide individual and couple counselling to patients undergoing IVF, IUI, and related fertility treatments</li><li>Conduct pre-treatment psychological assessments and readiness evaluations</li><li>Offer emotional support during critical stages such as stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, pregnancy loss, or treatment failure</li><li>Counsel patients on stress management, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship concerns</li><li>Support patients in third-party reproduction cases (donor eggs/sperm, surrogacy &ndash; if applicable)</li><li>Educate patients on coping strategies, lifestyle changes, and mental well-being</li><li>Work closely with doctors, nurses, embryologists, and care coordinators to ensure holistic patient care</li><li>Maintain confidential patient records and counselling notes as per hospital and ethical guidelines</li><li>Conduct group counselling sessions / workshops when required</li><li>Follow ethical standards, confidentiality norms, and hospital policies</li><li>Assist in patient education programs and awareness sessions</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s Degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology</li><li>RCI registration (preferred, if applicable)</li><li>Certification or training in infertility counselling will be an added advantage</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>1&ndash;5 years of experience as a Psychological Counsellor</li><li>Prior experience in IVF / Fertility / Healthcare / Hospital setup preferred</li><li>Freshers with relevant internship exposure may be considered</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong empathy, listening, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to handle emotionally sensitive cases</li><li>Patient-centric and non-judgmental approach</li><li>Good documentation and reporting skills</li><li>Team collaboration and interpersonal skills</li><li>Knowledge of fertility treatment processes (IVF/IUI basics)</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Hospital / clinic-based role</li><li>May require flexible working hours based on patient schedules</li><li>Emotionally demanding but highly impactful role</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Leave encashment</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
