Position: AP Specialist
Report to: Julie Murray Date: 02/17/2026
Department: Accounting Location: Boca Raton, FL
Position Summary: Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual that performs accounts payable duties and entries. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position.
TITLE OF POSITION: Accounts Payable Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card statements</li><li>
Import and print daily/weekly/monthly claims and cancellations checks</li><li>
Run manual credit cards transactions</li><li>
Data enter W-9 and ACH banking information</li><li>
Verify cleared status on checks</li><li>
Provide Accounting support to other departments</li><li>
Provide clerical and administrative support to management or staff as requested</li></ul>
Education and Work Experience:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent necessary; college degree preferred</li><li>
At least one year of experience in bookkeeping/AP
</li></ul>Knowledge and Skills:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>
Proficient computer skills: must have working knowledge of Excel and Word, and must have comfort level with learning new software</li><li>
Typing and ten key experience, with high accuracy and speed</li><li>
Ability to multi-task, follow up, and meet deadlines</li><li>
Strong attention to detail</li><li>
Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative to research variances
</li></ul>Hours Required:
Monday &ndash; Friday 8:30am &ndash; 5:00pm with occasional overtime as needed
