Position: AP Specialist

Department: Accounting Location: Boca Raton, FL

Position Summary: Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual that performs accounts payable duties and entries. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position.

TITLE OF POSITION: Accounts Payable Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card statements
  • Import and print daily/weekly/monthly claims and cancellations checks
  • Run manual credit cards transactions
  • Data enter W-9 and ACH banking information
  • Verify cleared status on checks
  • Provide Accounting support to other departments
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management or staff as requested

Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent necessary; college degree preferred
  • At least one year of experience in bookkeeping/AP

Knowledge and Skills:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Must maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills: must have working knowledge of Excel and Word, and must have comfort level with learning new software
  • Typing and ten key experience, with high accuracy and speed
  • Ability to multi-task, follow up, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative to research variances

Hours Required:

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm with occasional overtime as needed
