Job Description &ndash; Staff NursePosition Title: Staff Nurse Department: Nursing Reports To: Nursing In-Charge / Head of Nursing ServicesKey Responsibilities1. Patient Care<ul><li>Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care to patients as per medical instructions.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.</li><li>Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions accurately and on time.</li><li>Assist doctors during rounds, examinations, and procedures.</li><li>Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and mobility.</li></ul>2. Clinical Duties<ul><li>Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and supplies.</li><li>Carry out wound dressing, catheterization, suctioning, and other nursing procedures.</li><li>Ensure safe collection and dispatch of lab samples.</li><li>Handle emergency situations promptly (CPR, first aid, code blue, etc.).</li></ul>3. Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes, reports, and patient records.</li><li>Document all treatments, medications, and observations as per hospital policy.</li><li>Report any unusual symptoms, incidents, or patient concerns to the doctor/ANS.</li></ul>4. Infection Control &amp; Safety<ul><li>Follow universal precautions and hospital infection control protocols.</li><li>Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of the ward/unit.</li></ul>5. Patient &amp; Family Education<ul><li>Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medication, diet, and discharge instructions.</li><li>Provide emotional support and counseling where required.</li></ul>6. Teamwork &amp; Professional Conduct<ul><li>Coordinate with doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.</li><li>Guide and supervise junior nurses, nursing students, and attendants.</li><li>Uphold hospital policies, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<ul><li>Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc.
