Overview Join our dedicated team as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in guiding individuals through their recovery journey and supporting their mental health needs. We are committed to fostering a positive environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and meaningful impact.Duties<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate substance use, mental health status, and behavioral needs using diagnostic tools aligned with ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards.</li><li>Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy to support recovery goals.</li><li>Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction counseling, mental health counseling, child &amp; family counseling, and crisis intervention.</li><li>Manage crisis situations effectively by implementing crisis management protocols and providing immediate support during behavioral health emergencies.</li><li>Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless case management, home &amp; community care, and hospital-based services while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records.</li><li>Conduct diagnostic evaluations for PTSD care, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health conditions using clinical counseling methods.</li><li>Collect data for research purposes and maintain accurate medical records utilizing CPT coding and ICD coding systems to support quality assurance and compliance efforts.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Associates , Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field; Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>Valid licensure or certification as a CADC, CRADC, LSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential.</li><li>Proven experience in addiction counseling, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings with familiarity in medical terminology and patient care procedures.</li><li>Strong skills in psychotherapy modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Experience working in hospital environments or home &amp; community care settings is highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to handle crisis situations with professionalism while demonstrating excellent communication skills for intake processes and patient assessment.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards is essential.
