Job Description: Legal Assistant / SchedulerPosition Type: Full-Time, On-SitePractice Areas: Criminal and Family LawAbout the RoleThe Legal Assistant / Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm&rsquo;s daily activities by managing attorney calendars, coordinating events, client communication, and administrative support functions. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced law firm environment.Key Responsibilities&middot; Coordinate and maintain attorney calendars, including client meetings, court appearances, depositions, mediations, and internal firm events.&middot; Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling between clients, attorneys, and external parties such as courts, experts, and opposing counsel.&middot; Confirm appointments and deadlines with appropriate reminders and follow-up to ensure accuracy.&middot; Input, track, and update case schedules in the firm&rsquo;s case management system.&middot; Monitor and flag scheduling conflicts, deadlines, and urgent tasks to attorneys and staff.&middot; Provide administrative support including drafting correspondence, managing documents, and assisting with file organization.&middot; Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries appropriately, and provide professional communication with clients.&middot; Assist with coordination of intern and staff schedules as directed by the Firm Administrator.&middot; Assist with conducting new client intakes, including gathering preliminary case information, documenting client details accurately, and ensuring a smooth transition of information to the appropriate attorney or paralegal.Qualifications&middot; Prior experience in a legal assistant, scheduler, or administrative role preferred (experience in criminal or family law a plus).&middot; Strong organizational and time-management skills.&middot; Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.&middot; Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy.&middot; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems (experience with Smokeball or similar software preferred).&middot; Professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.Key Attributes&middot; Highly detail-oriented and reliable.&middot; Able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.&middot; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate scheduling challenges.&middot; Positive and professional attitude with a commitment to client service.Compensation and Benefits&middot; Competitive salary based on experience.&middot; Health, dental, and vision insurance.&middot; Paid time off and holidays.&middot; Professional development opportunities.&middot; Supportive and team-oriented work environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: $46,834.90 - $56,403.32 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
