This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care through efficient front desk management and comprehensive medical administrative support.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression</li><li>Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth</li><li>Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification</li><li>Collect patient information accurately, including intake forms and medical history updates</li><li>Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally</li><li>Maintain accurate medical records, including filing, documentation review, and updating patient information in EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix</li><li>Assist with billing processes by supporting medical coding (ICD-10, CPT coding), medical collection efforts, and Medicare claims processing</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive health information appropriately</li><li>Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as preparing care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing office supplies</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting, preferably with dental or hospital experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and health information management practices</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable</li><li>Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and office management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix</li><li>Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines and complex scheduling efficiently</li><li>Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing processes</li><li>Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance while managing sensitive health data</li><li>Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus</li></ul>Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding administrative support that enhances patient experiences and streamlines clinic operations.
