Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Age Before and After School Care Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during the critical hours before and after school. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and their families. Applicant must be 18 or older and previous experience with kids.Duties<ul><li>Supervise and engage children in various activities before and after school, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.</li><li>Implement structured programs that promote social, emotional, and physical development through play, sports, arts, and educational activities.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.</li><li>Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment that supports each child's individual needs.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized space conducive to learning and play.</li><li>Stay informed about child development practices and participate in ongoing training opportunities.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong classroom management abilities to maintain a positive learning environment.</li><li>First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all students.</li><li>Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or sports coaching is highly valued.</li><li>Background in special education or early childhood education is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with childhood development principles to support age-appropriate activities.</li><li>Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively.</li><li>Experience in roles such as babysitting or theater can enhance engagement strategies with children.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to foster relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
