Overview:Ocean Consulting, LLC, a South Florida-based company, was established in 2007 and specializes in processing and procuring approvals for both domestic and international coastal and waterfront projects. We work closely with both developers and single-family homeowners to obtain environmental and building permits for these coastal construction projects.Ocean Consulting is currently seeking a skilled CAD Designer to fill a full-time position, immediately. The candidate will join a small team to produce permit and/or construction drawings for coastal projects. An ideal candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills in English, and well-developed graphic production abilities. He/She will be a part of a team that is tasked with developing permit/construction drawings for coastal projects varying in scale, from single-family to large commercial waterfront facilities.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct field visits- document site conditions and translate to CAD;</li></ul><ul><li>Produce construction document sets for permitting simultaneously for multiple projects;</li></ul><ul><li>Revise drawings based on agency, client, or internal comments; and</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain e-mail correspondence with government entities, clients, and project team.</li></ul>Desired Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Architectural Engineering, preferred;</li></ul><ul><li>Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or later;</li></ul><ul><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);</li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrates knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;</li></ul><ul><li>Meticulous in detail;</li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently;</li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;</li></ul><ul><li>Must have strong time-management skills, be well-organized, and have the skills to work well independently, and with a team;</li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to work minimally supervised and take initiative;</li></ul><ul><li>Must have access to reliable transportation; stipend provided for gas/mileage to Project sites (as necessary);</li></ul><ul><li>Be able to prioritize multiple project requirements &amp; tasks; and</li></ul><ul><li>Must be fluent in English, written and oral, Spanish-speaking is a plus.</li></ul>Compensation: <ul><li>Commensurate with experience</li></ul>Employment Type:<ul><li>Full-Time</li></ul>Education Level:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Architecture/Architectural Engineering preferred</li></ul>Please respond with your resum&eacute; and no more than three examples of working drawings.Job Type: Full-timeBase Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
