Full-Time CAD Designer Position

Overview:

Ocean Consulting, LLC, a South Florida-based company, was established in 2007 and specializes in processing and procuring approvals for both domestic and international coastal and waterfront projects. We work closely with both developers and single-family homeowners to obtain environmental and building permits for these coastal construction projects.

Ocean Consulting is currently seeking a skilled CAD Designer to fill a full-time position, immediately. The candidate will join a small team to produce permit and/or construction drawings for coastal projects. An ideal candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills in English, and well-developed graphic production abilities. He/She will be a part of a team that is tasked with developing permit/construction drawings for coastal projects varying in scale, from single-family to large commercial waterfront facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field visits- document site conditions and translate to CAD;

• Produce construction document sets for permitting simultaneously for multiple projects;

• Revise drawings based on agency, client, or internal comments; and

• Maintain e-mail correspondence with government entities, clients, and project team.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Architectural Engineering, preferred;

• Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or later;

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

• Demonstrates knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;

• Meticulous in detail;

• Must be able to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently;

• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;

• Must have strong time-management skills, be well-organized, and have the skills to work well independently, and with a team;

• Must be able to work minimally supervised and take initiative;

• Must have access to reliable transportation; stipend provided for gas/mileage to Project sites (as necessary);

• Be able to prioritize multiple project requirements & tasks; and

• Must be fluent in English, written and oral, Spanish-speaking is a plus.
