Job Description: QA/QC Manager (Oil &amp; Gas, Qatar)Position Title: QA/QC Manager Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Projects Location: Qatar Industry: Oil &amp; Gas Reports To: Project Manager / Construction Manager / Operations ManagerRole OverviewThe QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for Oil &amp; Gas projects. The role ensures that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and applicable codes. The QA/QC Manager will lead QA/QC teams, coordinate with project, construction, HSE, and client representatives, and ensure quality objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Establish, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System in line with ISO standards and client requirements.</li><li>Prepare and manage Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection &amp; Test Plans (ITP), procedures, and method statements.</li><li>Lead and supervise QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and discipline-specific QC teams.</li><li>Ensure all construction and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.</li><li>Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.</li><li>Review and approve material submittals, vendor documents, and inspection reports.</li><li>Monitor site activities and conduct regular quality inspections and audits.</li><li>Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and preventive actions.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation, records, and handover dossiers are prepared and maintained.</li><li>Coordinate with HSE, engineering, and construction teams to ensure quality and safety alignment.</li><li>Support internal and external audits and client quality reviews.</li><li>Provide regular quality reports, dashboards, and progress updates to project management.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; SkillsEducation: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline).Experience:<ul><li>Minimum 8&ndash;12 years of QA/QC experience in Oil &amp; Gas, EPC, or large industrial projects.</li><li>At least 3&ndash;5 years in a QA/QC Manager or senior QA/QC leadership role.</li><li>Prior experience working in Qatar or the GCC region is preferred.</li></ul>Technical Knowledge:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.</li><li>Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, etc.).</li><li>Experience with inspections, testing, welding, piping, structural, and equipment quality control.</li><li>Understanding of project documentation, turnover, and handover requirements.</li><li>Knowledge of QA/QC requirements related to HSE is an advantage.</li></ul>Certifications (Preferred):<ul><li>ISO 9001 Lead Auditor</li><li>CSWIP / AWS / NDT Level II (as applicable)</li><li>Any relevant QA/QC or project quality certifications</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes:<ul><li>Strong leadership and team management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination abilities</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments</li><li>Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset</li></ul>How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to apply here or send their updated CVs to: recruitment@gso.qaJob Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Are you available immediately ?</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Doha (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person

This role is suitable for newly graduated mechanical engineers looking to gain hands‑on experience in site operations, equipment installation, inspection, and maintenance under the supervision of senior engineers.
