Responsible for the routine operation of the library media center. Assists the library media specialist with office/clerical duties, locating, circulating and shelving library materials, textbooks, and equipment. Supports the mission of the Library and Instructional Media Program, and promotes access to library resources by providing technical assistance to the library media specialist and assistance to teachers, students, and other patrons.<br>

<b>Essential Duties:</b><br>

<b>Daily Operational Tasks</b>
<ul><li>Assists with creating a welcoming environment by keeping the library books looking clean, attractive, organized and cluter-free; create and maintain attractive library displays; provide readers&rsquo; advisory such as suggesting fiction and nonfiction titles to students.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Assists with cataloging and circulating materials; circulate library books, textbooks, instructional materials, and equipment; process/request interlibrary loan requests in Destiny Library Manager; process/request textbook transfer requests in Destiny Resource Manager; gather materials for teachers and shelve books.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Assist with reports to monitor obligations (overdue and lost), library and textbook inventory.</li>
<li>Assist students and teachers with access to OKCPS online resources in Destiny, Discovery Education streaming, EBSCO, GALE, PebbleGo, PebbleGoNext, PebbleGo Creat, SORA, Teachingbooks.net, and World Book Online.</li>
</ul>

<b>Library Clerk Daily Operational Technology Tasks</b>
<ul><li>Assist students with all aspects of technology-related needs.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Assign devices to students; check out devices to students and check in returned devices (Incident IQ); create device requests (Incident IQ); if a device is damaged, or not functioning properly, check in the device and submit an IIQ ticket for the device to be picked up for repair.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Troubleshooting steps such as reset devices for students (Chromebook profile reset, re-enroll, powerwash or iPad reset settings, or factory restore); connect iPad OKCPS-Deploy and Chromebooks to OKCPS-Secure Wi-Fi; if a device is not holding a charge (Test the charger on a different device making sure the charger is working and inspect wires to ensure they are not broken); contact Client Services on issues needing additional attention for resolution (Tier 2 troubleshooting); work with students on troubleshooting and solving technical issues with their devices.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Inventory control to confirm students are returning the device assigned to them before checking out a replacement for a damaged or nonfunctioning device. (Search by serial numbers or usernames in iiQ); immediately report and create tickets for any lost, missing, or stolen student devices. (Contact Parent Liaison to contact parent or guardian); print name labels and barcodes for devices; maintain inventory of all available devices and working chargers at the school site (Replacement chargers for lost, damaged, or stolen chargers are distributed at each school's discretion); identify a designated and clearly marked area for pick-up and drop-off or a container for devices with tickets; cleaning the iPad cases and Chromebooks (Remove stickers)</li>

<b>Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities):</b>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required plus one of the following:<ul><li>
Hold an Associate&rsquo;s Degree or higher; Completed at least two years (48 credit hours) of college study; Passed the OGET test; Pass the Education Testing Service Parapro Assessment Test (passing score is 455) or the Workkeys Assessment (Passing score is 4 or better on all three parts).</li>
</ul></li><li>Basic communication skills to exchange information, give/receive simple instructions and respond to inquiries; filling out forms; knowledge of grammatical structure, vocabulary for preparing correspondence from rough draft or proofing of completed material; communicates in clear, grammatically correct English.</li>
