Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Teacher / Group Leader to join our team. This role involves supervising and engaging children in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment after school hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong classroom management skills, and experience in early childhood education or related fields. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on students&rsquo; development while fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere.Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times</li><li>Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills</li><li>Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement</li><li>Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities tailored to various age groups</li><li>Implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with developmental standards</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized activity area and ensure all safety protocols are followed</li><li>Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns</li><li>Support children in extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, theater, or arts and crafts when applicable</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary, following proper procedures to ensure child safety</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or childcare is highly preferred</li><li>Strong classroom management and behavior management skills</li><li>Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices</li><li>Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification required before start date</li><li>Experience with special education needs or Christian counseling is advantageous</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a positive environment for children of diverse backgrounds</li><li>Ability to engage children through creative activities like theater, sports coaching, or arts projects</li><li>Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe and nurturing space for students</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourWork Location: In person
