Overview Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Instructor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and growth in children of all ages! As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will be at the heart of a fun-filled season dedicated to nurturing childhood development, building confidence, and creating unforgettable memories. Bring your energy, passion for working with children, and enthusiasm for teaching to make this summer truly exceptional!Duties<ul><li>Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures to ensure all children are actively engaged and having fun</li><li>Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper behavior management techniques and supervising children at all times</li><li>Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns following established protocols</li><li>Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance by adapting activities and providing personalized attention</li><li>Foster positive relationships with campers through encouragement, active listening, and Christian counseling principles when appropriate</li><li>Manage classroom or activity space effectively, ensuring materials are organized and activities run smoothly</li><li>Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules, troubleshoot challenges, and create an inclusive atmosphere that promotes teamwork</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable</li><li>Strong skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development are essential for creating a nurturing space</li><li>Knowledge of early childhood education principles and special education strategies will enhance your ability to support diverse learners</li><li>Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications is required before the start of the camp season</li><li>Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare roles will contribute to your success in leading engaging activities</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds while maintaining a positive attitude</li><li>Passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering a supportive environment aligned with our values of kindness and growth</li></ul>Embark on an inspiring summer journey where your enthusiasm makes a difference!
