Job DescriptionONYX Services is seeking an exceptional, skilled &amp; experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician. The position reports to onsite management located at our New Caney TX office. This is a full time position. ONYX Services is an established land and marine contractor that offers inspection, design and construction services to a nationwide client base. The ONYX team defines success on the principals of hard work, accountability, and the importance of living a balanced life.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):<ul><li>Develops detailed survey drawings which include, but are not limited to the following: pipeline alignments, land boundaries, topographic contour maps, civil and geotechnical design, etc.</li><li>Use the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare design drawings with plan, profile, section and detail views as designated by the engineering team</li><li>Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and construction specifications</li><li>Complete job summary and construction notes for review by project engineers</li><li>Ability to communicate closely with field techs and supervisors to interpret notes and sketches</li><li>Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks while maintaining efficiency and quality of work</li><li>MUST have attention to detail and precision</li><li>Ability to produce design drawings that are clear, concise and organized to meet each client&rsquo;s codes and standards</li><li>Must be able to work well in a team environment</li><li>Problem solving and critical-thinking skills</li><li>Takes pride in work and takes initiative to expand knowledge base</li><li>Project managers are kept informed of progress and potential obstacles</li><li>Proficient use of MS Outlook, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Plan/Profile and Land Development experience is a PLUS.</li></ul>*Salary commensurate with experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>New Caney, TX 77357 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>New Caney, TX 77357: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
