Job Title: Import Executive Location: Dubai, UAE (Hybrid &ndash; WFH/Office) Job Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import Executive to manage import operations for a young liquor imports and distribution business based in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international freight forwarding, SSL/carrier booking management, procurement, shipping documents. GCC experience is essential. This role requires close coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.Key ResponsibilitiesMust Have<ul><li>Experience in freight forwarding - candidates from Maersk, MSC, CMA, NVOCC and Forwarders are encouraged to apply</li><li>E*_xperience of imports from Europe/US will be essential *_</li><li>Candidates should be UAE based, not on visit visa</li></ul>Supply Chain Execution<ul><li>Oversee import operations including procurement of goods and process imports to intended destination.</li><li>Manage imports, place bookings with forwarders or carriers directly for imports from Europe, India, USA, Mexico, Singapore, and China.</li><li>Skills in negotiating freight rates, transit times ETD/ETA are essential to qualify for the role</li><li>In depth understanding of shipping documents, Bill of lading, shipping terms, packing list is mandatory</li><li>Handle direct imports into the UAE and cross-trade shipments into other countries.</li></ul>Supplier and Customer Service Management <ul><li>As the role involves dealing with suppliers across multiple locations, good English speaking, reading and writing is important</li><li>Communicate internally with Logistics and Finance</li><li>Communicate externally with Supplier for stock readiness, collections and bookings</li><li>Communicate externally with customer for ETAs and delivery times</li></ul>Operational Excellence<ul><li>Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking reports.</li><li>Monitor cost efficiencies and support freight procurement decisions.</li><li>Maintain organised internal documentation and status dashboards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations within the Gulf region.</li><li>Mandatory UAE working experience.</li><li>Experience with Liquor, Tobacco, FMCG will be essential</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced level).</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.</li><li>Good knowledge of UAE customs procedures and import/export regulations.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
