We pride ourselves on providing great patient care and an even better work environment.If you are looking to contribute to a thriving dental practice with a focus on team development, career growth opportunities and competitive compensation, this may be an amazing opportunity for you.Compensation includes: dental benefits, employer health insurance contribution, paid time off, paid holidays, sick pay, 401K, and MORE!As part of our team, you will:<ul><li>Welcome patients.</li><li>Maintain appointment schedule.</li><li>Prepare charts and collect clinical records.</li><li>Conduct treatment consultations with patients when new treatment plans are presented.</li><li>Address patient concerns regarding financial and scheduling questions.</li><li>Understand the contractual requirements of dental benefit plans and educate patients on their dental benefits.</li><li>Check patients out, including receiving and recording payment, creating insurance claim(s), and scheduling next appointment.</li><li>Audit patient accounts and send patient statements.</li><li>Perform general office duties, such as, greeting deliveries, photocopying, filing paperwork, scanning, faxing, texting, and sending email correspondence.</li></ul>Insurance Coordinating Duties:<ul><li>Review of insurance policies to determine coverage and eligibility.</li><li>Prepare insurance claim forms or related documents and review them for completeness.</li><li>Provide patient education, specific to the exchange of insurance information by physicians, insurance companies, and patients.</li><li>Process insurance claims by either electronic submission, or via US mail</li><li>Post or attach information to dental claim files by use of basic personal computer application.</li><li>Research insurance eligibility on all new patients prior to their appointment with physician's.</li><li>Provide requested information, that is needed on patients; such as x-rays, charting, narratives and documentation, when a request is received, by insurance companies and/or physician's, which will assist in the ongoing facilitation of treatment and payment of patient claims.</li><li>Determine the patients financial responsibility, by researching the patients insurance eligibility, percentage of payment that will be due by the patient, and what will be received by the insurance carrier.</li><li>Establish financial arrangements with the patients, based of those facts.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>1 year of experience working in dentistry with knowledge of dental operations.</li><li>1 year of technical expertise in dental insurance benefits.</li><li>Excellent communication and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to perform detailed work according to established formats and protocols.</li></ul>Previous experience working in dental front office (preferred).Compensation will be commensurate with experience level.Skills:<ul><li>General Practice</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Medical</li><li>Dental</li><li>Vision</li><li>401k</li><li>PTO</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>$21-$32/hour</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $21.00 - $32.00 per hourExpected hours: 36 &ndash; 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>San Diego, CA 92121 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>San Diego, CA 92121: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
