The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring the smooth coordination of HR functions across the organization. This position assists in implementing HR policies and procedures that align with the company&rsquo;s goals, while providing hands-on support in employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, compliance, and performance-related processes. The HR Generalist is also expected to demonstrate empathy, build strong connections with employees, and serve as a positive and approachable presence within the company. The role contributes to training initiatives, recordkeeping, and overall HR administration, while helping foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging workplace culture. This position is essential in helping maintain a positive work environment and supporting the growth and retention of a strong, motivated workforce within our competitive trades industry.Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of human resources experience, preferablyin the service or trades industry.</li><li>Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements (e.g., EEOC, FLSA).</li><li>Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate integrity, and approach employee concerns with compassion and fairness.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification (*_preferred but not required_*).</li><li>Experience supporting multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience assisting with payroll processes.</li><li>Experience in benefits administration.</li><li>Background in employee engagement, culture-building initiatives, or wellness programs.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring each employee feels welcomed, valued, and supported.</li><li>Build trusting relationships by being an accessible, empathetic resource for employees and leaders.</li><li>Support employee relations by helping address concerns and promoting a positive, respectful workplace culture.</li><li>Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Assist with performance review processes and tracking employee evaluations.</li><li>Help coordinate training sessions, development programs, and employee engagement initiatives.</li><li>Provide support in payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.</li><li>Prepare basic HR reports and assist with data tracking for HR metrics.</li><li>Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.</li></ul>Skills:The Human Resources Generalist uses strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in HR systems, payroll/benefits tools, and office software supports efficient workflow across HR functions. Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills enable the Generalist to handle multiple priorities effectively.
