<div>Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and executing print and digital solutions that align with OSV&rsquo;s strategic objectives by creating concepts, comps, layouts and final art within established guidelines and deadlines.
As part of a centralized team, this position will work with cross-functional stakeholders to produce cohesive, brand-aligned visual assets across all departments, products, and services for both internal and external customers.
This position will produce assets in support of customer-focused marketing campaigns, create branded digital assets, engaging presentations, and produce high-quality print collateral, promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, signage, and direct mail pieces. The Graphic Designer will manage content consistency across platforms, and support sales efforts with tailored marketing resources. This role ensures consistent application of design standards while supporting a wide array of internal and external initiatives.
Success in this role requires exceptional customer service, clear communication, and technical proficiency, while offering strong creative skills to all stages of design production, from concept development to proofing and final delivery.
The Graphic Designer must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design, web and/or multimedia software and applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):<ul><li>
Work with Associate Director of Design to ensure consistency of the brand image/message</li><li>
Develop high quality visual content for OSV&rsquo;s products and services including marketing materials, customer campaigns, presentations, digital assets, and print collateral</li><li>
Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to understand project goals and translate them into effective design solutions</li></ul><ul><li>
Uphold and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints</li><li>
Participating in creative reviews</li><li>
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality</li><li>
Prepare final artwork for production and ensure accuracy in output across media formats</li></ul><ul><li>
Work with internal and external customers to maintain schedules, manage priorities, maintain high quality standards, and budget</li><li>
Effectively communicate and coordinate work with other designers and individuals both inside and outside of the organization</li><li>
Develop creative design to fulfill internal marketing needs including materials for OSV programs and advertising projects, as well as customer needs, including, but not limited to, logo design, brochures, creative layouts for publications</li><li>
Follow OSV&rsquo;s Catholic design aesthetics and standards</li><li>
Provide accuracy in design and file preparation for print, html email, and internet posting</li><li>
Remain current on latest trends and styles in marketing and design</li><li>
Maintain confidentiality of themes, directions, pricing, vendors, tactics, and marketing materials</li><li>
Collaborating with other departments on various projects</li><li>
Promote positive relationships and effective communication with co-workers and department managers</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Requirements:
Experience:<ul><li>
Strong understanding of the Catholic Church and parish life</li><li>
Extensive experience with programs including Adobe InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro</li><li>
Minimum of 0-3 years of creative experience in an agency, corporate advertising, or design/marketing department</li><li>
Must possess a strong portfolio of work with outstanding design, typographic, and production skills</li><li>
Understanding of HTML and knowledge of Web-based content management systems such as WordPress preferred</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to work with Microsoft Word and Excel</li><li>
A thorough understanding of four-color prepress principles and their application in a Macintosh OS environment</li><li>
Self-motivated individual who instinctively provides creative inspiration and out-of-the-box thinking</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations, and contribute to a positive team environment</li><li>
Ability to take direction, accept feedback, rework as needed, and work in a creative team environment both independently and when directed</li><li>
Flexible, organized, self-starter who can handle multiple projects simultaneously</li></ul>
Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in graphic design/arts or related discipline; commensurate education and work experience will be considered.</li></ul>

Working Environment:<ul><li>
Incumbent will be working in an office environment on a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days per week in the Huntington, Indiana office. This position is designed as a hybrid role, requiring on‑site work in Huntington, Indiana three days per week. Remote work may be considered for highly qualified non‑local candidates.</li><li>
Incumbent must be able to sit for extended amounts of time as this position requires 60 - 70% of time to be spent in sitting at a computer</li></ul>

Graphic Designer

<div></div><div>OSV News is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Associate Editor with a strong understanding of the Catholic Church to assist the OSV News team in development new projects and supporting current ones.
The OSV News Associate Editor will write, review, and edit content for OSV News according to OSV&rsquo;s publication style and editorial guidelines.
Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):<ul><li>
Manage and help grow Simply Catholic Connect content platform through editing, content development, and content sharing</li><li>
Manage relationships with freelance writers for various OSV News projects, written and digital</li><li>
Create and edit OSV News content, as needed</li><li>
Pitch creative and dynamic stories to raise OSV News&rsquo;s profile and engage audiences</li><li>
Identify emerging trends, topics, and opportunities in the Catholic Church to inform content strategy</li><li>
Assist Spanish Editor in editing/posting content to Spanish website</li><li>
Participate in a team-centric, fully remote environment that adheres to the Catholic Media Association&rsquo;s Fair Publishing Practices Code</li><li>
Accomplish all other tasks or duties as assigned</li></ul>
Requirements:
Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Catholic communications</li><li>
Experience in writing and editing for a national publication preferred</li></ul>
Education:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent Liberal Arts field preferred; however, a combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered</li></ul>

Salary Statement
Compensation offered is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant&rsquo;s relevant skills, experience, and educational background.
 General Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually</div>

Bilingual OSV News Associate Editor

<div>Incumbent&rsquo;s primary function is to ensure a smooth production workflow at Our Sunday Visitor. The incumbent is responsible for tracking and maintaining schedules and programs set in motion by the Materials Manager.
Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):<ul><li>
Assist and work as a team with the Associate Lead Publishing Project Specialist to oversee all production processes in the publishing area of Our Sunday Visitor</li><li>
Monitor and ensure quality of production processes both internally and externally</li><li>
Coordinate the approval of soft-proofs between vendors and internal project managers</li><li>
Process main issue labels for publications. Check reports with label breakdown. Process paperwork according to publication being processed</li><li>
Publications &ndash; check on publication to see if we are on schedule</li><li>
Quoting and getting printed most of the religious trade items. Catalogs, postcards, newsletters, etc.</li><li>
Processing special mailing and coordinating pieces coming in from outside vendors.</li><li>
Work with Postal Compliance on mailing issues to find solutions to these problems</li><li>
Work with the graphics department to get a completed final project printable piece.</li><li>
Work with special projects managers to order all VBS related items including original run and all reorders</li><li>
Responsible for all reprints both inside and outside for trade books, pamphlets, and other items as assigned.</li><li>
Keep all standard office supplies stocked and work with the materials manager on special requests</li><li>
Track book costs and work with the special project manager to determine price increases. Responsible for ensuring those cost increases are made accordingly</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Requirements:
Experience:<ul><li>
Intermediate overall knowledge of printing processes is essential</li><li>
2-3 years experience in Customer Service or Estimating is extremely beneficial</li></ul>
Education:<ul><li>
Coursework in Printing Processes would be beneficial to the incumbent</li></ul>
Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>
The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with teams of editors, designers, and a multitude of other individuals</li><li>
Must maintain confidentiality; some pre-release content not for public consumption such as new products and redesigned publications could be mishandled. Externally our reputation or competitive position could be compromised</li><li>
Skills with human relations are important as the incumbent may work closely with various department heads and other personnel frequently</li><li>
Organizational skills</li><li>
Time management skills are important to stay on schedule in this area</li></ul>
Working Environment:<ul><li>
Incumbent will work in a hybrid office/remote environment</li><li>
Incumbent will be expected to visit the production floor to evaluate the printing processes</li></ul>
