Nature of Duties</b></p><ul><li>
Support senior manufacturing engineers and project managers in information and data collection.</li><li>
Based on data and facts, will make recommendations for manufacturing improvements such as, capacity, cost reduction, quality, and safety.</li><li>
Implement assigned project improvements to production and develop sustainable training plan.</li><li>
Develop, improve and audit current process or equipment documentation that will include training plans.</li><li>
Develop and present to local and division management on project assignments.</li><li>
Provide periodic updates on project assignments to manufacturing engineering manager.</li><li>
Update plant layouts as assigned using autocad.</li><li>
Create in powerpoint and present internship accomplishments at the end of the summer.</li><li>

Requisition Summary</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Continual improvement of manufacturing process safety, quality, productivity and cost.</li><li>
Preparation, coordination, and implementation of expense and capital budget projects.</li><li>
Reviews new and revised product designs to assess impact on manufacturing processes then readies facility and processes for production volumes.</li><li>
Plant layouts, facility rearrangements, and production equipment design, installation and validation.</li><li>
Monitors maintenance activity to ensure machine capability, reliability and durability is maintained.</li><li>
Continuous process improvement through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodology.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Functions / Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Prompt mitigation of identified safety, quality and productivity issues.</li><li>
Research quality problems to identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>
Define how assembly processes should be performed to assemble parts to specification safely and efficiently with input from production personnel.</li><li>
Determine process variables which require monitoring to determine if the processes are in control and capable.</li><li>
Research capital budget ideas, prepare justification, design/purchase equipment, and coordinate installation.</li><li>
Review major product changes and provide input to Design Engineering on manufacturability and develop manufacturing processes.</li><li>
Rearrange assembly areas and design new production equipment to accommodate product changes and/or improve process flow.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Engineering degree required (Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial preferred).</li><li>
In depth product knowledge highly desirable.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.</li><li>
Required 2-5 years related experience.</li><li>
Prior background in manufacturing environment.</li><li>
