Job Purpose:Fabricate, construct or manufacture materials from raw inventory into WIP and finished goods.Tasks:<ul><li>Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using measuring tools.</li><li>Align and fit parts according to specifications using hydraulic struts or jacks.</li><li>Move parts into position manually or with pallet jacks and forklifts.</li><li>Set up and operate fabricating machines such as saws, brakes, shears, grinders and drill presses to cut, bend, punch, drill or otherwise form metal components.</li><li>Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.</li><li>Lift or move materials and finished products using pallet jacks, forklifts and carts.</li><li>Clean materials for fitment using air guns, acetone, surface pads or shop towels.</li><li>Remove sharp edges using hand files, portable grinders, portable drills, deburr tools and drill presses.</li></ul>Work Activities:<ul><li>Getting information.</li><li>Handling and moving objects.</li><li>Identifying objects, actions and events.</li><li>Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.</li><li>Inspecting equipment, structures and material.</li><li>Controlling machines.</li><li>Following processes.</li><li>Communicating with supervisors, peers or subordinates.</li><li>Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.</li><li>Operating equipment.</li><li>Performing general physical activities.</li></ul>Detailed Work Activities:<ul><li>Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly.</li><li>Assemble temporary equipment or structures.</li><li>Draw guide lines or markings on materials or workpieces using patterns or other references.</li><li>Inspect materials for defects or impurities.</li><li>Lay out parts to prepare for assembly.</li><li>Lift materials or workpieces manually or with other lifting equipment.</li><li>Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.</li><li>Mount attachments or tools onto production equipment.</li><li>Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment.</li></ul>Work Content:Physical Demands<ul><li>The employee is to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, talk, listen, regularly stand,</li><li>use arms to reach, use hands and fingers to handle or feel.</li><li>Lifts Weight or Exerts Force Work Environment</li><li>The employee is to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds.</li></ul>Visions<ul><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical objects and directly work with hand tools;
