Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Medical Scribe, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Whether working in dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or specialized clinics, you&rsquo;ll be at the forefront of patient-centered care, contributing to positive health outcomes every day.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing treatment rooms, gathering supplies, and ensuring a comfortable environment.</li><li>Accurately document patient encounters in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in real-time, including history, physical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.</li><li>Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation to support clinical assessments.</li><li>Conduct patient intake procedures by collecting medical histories and updating demographic information efficiently and compassionately.</li><li>Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray coordination, and basic life support when needed.</li><li>Manage medical administrative tasks such as ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), insurance documentation, and appointment scheduling to ensure seamless clinic operations.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings such as dermatology clinics, emergency departments (Level I &amp; II trauma centers), hospital medicine units (including PICU and Geriatrics), and outpatient clinics to deliver comprehensive patient care.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience working in clinical environments such as hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics or specialty practices like dermatology or internal medicine.</li><li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and basic pharmacology to support accurate documentation and patient interactions.</li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like X-ray operation or medication administration are a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient charting and documentation; experience with ICD coding is highly desirable.</li><li>Prior hospital experience including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is preferred; experience in emergency medicine or surgical settings such as OR or medical-surgical units is advantageous.</li><li>Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU).</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
