Position OverviewThe Pain Center of Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Scribe to support our physicians at our Division Street, Oak Park, Garfield, Midlothian &amp; Elmhurst locations. The Medical Scribe will work closely with providers to accurately document patient encounters in real time, helping improve clinical efficiency and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced pain management setting.This role is ideal for candidates interested in healthcare, clinical documentation, or gaining hands-on medical experience.Hours will be 8 am to 4 pm The scribe will need to travel to the following locations:<ul><li>2041 W Division St. 1C Chicago, IL 60622</li><li>836 S Oak Park Ave Oak Park, IL 60304</li><li>5401 S Wentworth Ave Suite 22 W, Chicago, IL 60609</li><li>300 W Butterfield Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126</li><li>4824 148th St, Midlothian, IL 60445</li><li>16909 Torrence Ave, Lansing, IL 60438</li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Accurately document patient encounters in real time during clinic visits</li><li>Record history of present illness (HPI), review of systems (ROS), physical exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans</li><li>Enter and update patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system</li><li>Assist providers by preparing charts prior to visits and completing documentation after visits as needed</li><li>Track and document procedures, injections, follow-ups, and imaging orders</li><li>Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with HIPAA standards</li><li>Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times</li><li>Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and front desk staff</li><li>Adapt to clinic workflow and provider preferences</li><li>Support clinic efficiency by allowing providers to focus on patient care</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or in clinical documentation preferred</li><li>Strong medical terminology knowledge (especially pain-related terms preferred)</li><li>Excellent typing speed and accuracy</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment</li><li>Comfortable working directly with physicians during patient visits</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems and general computer skills</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor</li><li>Bilingual is preferred</li></ul>Preferred Background<ul><li>Pre-med, nursing, PA, health sciences, or related healthcare background</li><li>Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, PM&amp;R, or spine care</li><li>Familiarity with procedure-based clinics (injections, imaging, follow-ups)</li></ul>Why Join The Pain Center of Illinois<ul><li>Work directly with experienced pain management physicians</li><li>Gain hands-on exposure to clinical medicine and patient care</li><li>Be part of a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare team</li><li>Opportunity to grow within a respected, multi-location practice</li></ul>Visit our website to know more about the company https://www.paincenteril.com/Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
