<div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Mobile Equipment Operator</b></h3><br>
<p><b>
Position Purpose:</b><br>
Complying with federal and state regulations and company safety standards while efficiently operating multiple pieces of heavy machinery on a surface mining operation.<br>
<br>
<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>Operates equipment by moving levers, or steering-wheel and depressing pedals or operating other controls to stop, start, maintain proper speed, direction and complete task as required.</li></ul>
Examines and performs fueling and routine servicing, which includes <ul><li>- perform pre-operational checks of equipment that include: walk around visual inspection, check fluid levels, safety equipment, tires, steering, brakes, etc.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Mounts and dismounts equipment by climbing or descending the boarding ladder or steps.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist mechanic with repairs and maintenance.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Clean equipment as required.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform other duties as required.</li></ul>
</div>
<p><b>Position Qualifications</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>Minimum 3 years experience and knowledge operating at least 3 of the following pieces of mobile equipment:
<ul><li>Dozer</li>
<li>Loader</li>
<li>Grader</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Ability to recognize potential problems with equipment. Know the lubrication and service requirements of the equipment being operated, and applicable rules and regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>equipment being operated.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures for the equipment being operated, and applicable rules and regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to pass an equipment test on the above pieces of equipment.</li></ul>

<p><b>Education and/or Training:</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>WV Surface Miner Certification</li></ul>
</div>
<p><b>Physical Abilities:</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>Must be able to lift 21-50 pounds occasionally, frequently up to 25 pounds, up to 10 pounds constantly.</li></ul></div></div><p></p>
