Our skilled nursing facility, located in beautiful Great Falls Montana, is hoping to develop a program that caters to our residents and future residents Pulmonary and Cardiac needs and comorbidities by strengthening the bodies that have been debilitated by the heaviness of the pandemic. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician&rsquo;s orders, state and federal guideline, and the department policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintains knowledge of the varying aspects of all things Pulmonary as allowed within the therapist scope and licensure of the long-term care facility.</li><li>Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered by physicians and understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.</li><li>Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation. Makes appropriate nursing contact for collaboration on further intervention.</li><li>Follows departmental equipment sterilization procedures and maintains effective infection control, collaborating with the infection preventionist, daily</li><li>Documents all pertinent data on the patient&rsquo;s medical record following completion of any extension of the Pulmonary Program or otherwise</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on residents of varying acuity and age and life station.</li><li>Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure that it is functioning safely and efficiently.</li><li>Formulates care plan based on identified learning needs of a patient and evaluates effectiveness of learning, Patient&rsquo;s family is included in teaching as appropriate and contributes to the Intradisciplinary team daily.</li><li>Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients&rsquo; needs are met and physician orders and company policy is followed.</li><li>Demonstrates ability to assess patient, his/her need, and ability to tolerate treatment and reassessment for response to treatment.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to manage constantly changing situations.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.</li><li>Attends and extends education in-service programs to maintain professional competency. Obtains appropriate program-specific education and training.</li><li>Performs all additional duties as assigned by the department manager.</li></ul> 
Additionally, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the daily operation of the shift, including work assignments, troubleshooting, responding to emergencies, and liaison with nurses, Director of Nursing, the Administrator and Physicians<ul><li>Remain proficient in PFT&rsquo;s and Bronchoscopes.</li></ul>
Further Expectations Include:<ul><li>Communicates and complies with the Sweetwater Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the focus statement of the department.</li><li>Complies with State and Federal Guidelines, along with Organizational Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Complies with Health and Safety Standards and Guidelines.</li></ul>
 Qualifications
Education/Experience Requirements:
Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
Possesses and maintains an active CRT or RRT credential.
Current ACLS and BLS Certification</div>

<div>Staffing Coordinator
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring adequate nursing staff coverage for all open shifts within the facility. This position manages the on-call phone Monday through Friday during business hours, coordinates staffing needs, and works closely with nursing leadership to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
Responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Finding coverage for open nursing shifts and filling staffing vacancies as they arise.</li><li>
Managing the on-call phone Monday through Friday during business hours.</li><li>
Posting the daily staffing schedule throughout the facility to maintain compliance with CMS regulations.</li><li>
Maintaining and updating the monthly nursing department schedule.</li><li>
Communicating staffing changes and updates to nursing staff and leadership.</li><li>
Assisting with scheduling, staffing reports, and other staffing-related administrative duties.</li><li>
Providing direct resident care and assisting on the nursing floor during working hours as needed.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Current CNA certification required.</li><li>
Previous healthcare staffing or scheduling experience preferred.</li><li>
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>
Knowledge of long-term care staffing requirements and CMS regulations preferred.</li></ul>
This position plays a vital role in ensuring quality resident care by maintaining appropriate staffing levels and supporting the nursing team as needed.</div>
