Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to early childhood education and special education settings, ensuring every child receives the personalized support they need to succeed.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development</li><li>Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized environment</li><li>Work directly with children to promote their developmental milestones, including communication skills such as American Sign Language when applicable</li><li>Provide individualized assistance to students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or developmental disabilities, following IEP (Individualized Education Program) guidelines</li><li>Help facilitate activities that support childhood development, including Montessori and preschool methodologies, as well as toddler care practices</li><li>Assist in preparing classroom materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining a clean and inviting space for children</li><li>Collaborate with teachers and specialists on lesson planning, behavior management strategies, and curriculum adaptations for diverse learners</li></ul>QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.<ul><li>Prior experience working with children in early childhood education, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred</li><li>Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting students with disabilities or autism is desirable</li><li>Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies</li><li>Proficiency in communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and specialists</li><li>Understanding of curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, and social-emotional learning</li><li>Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in deaf education is a plus</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to diverse student needs</li></ul>Join us in making a meaningful difference in young learners&rsquo; lives!
