Elementary School Special Education TeacherPembroke Hill School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Special Education Teacher.Required Qualifications + Skills:<ul><li>NH Certification as a Special Education Teacher</li><li>Experience working with students with multiple diagnoses including, but not limited to intellectual impairment, autism, health impairments, traumatic brain injuries, etc. </li><li>Experience and training in de-escalation/physical intervention strategies;</li><li>Work as part of an interdisciplinary school team to ensure students&rsquo; needs are met;</li><li>Work with nurse, SLP, OT, PT, and BCBA to develop and implement IEPs;</li><li>Maintain an organized, safe and productive classroom in order for students to make adequate progress</li><li>Consistent contact with families;</li><li>Supervising paraprofessionals;</li><li>Develop IEP goals that address individual student&rsquo;s needs and reflect growth on progress reports.</li><li>Have strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to approach individuals in a creative and thoughtful manner</li><li>Flexibility to meet identified student needs.</li><li>A strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization.</li><li>Model respect, honesty, consideration, responsibility, and positive attitude with both peers and students</li><li>Participate in staff meetings and in-service training as requested</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications Profile:NH Department of Education Certification as an Special Education TeacherEducation:<ul><li>Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.</li><li>Masters Degree in related area preferred.</li></ul>Compensation: Per teacher contract, excellent benefitsPlease send a cover letter, three references and your resume to wgerry@sau53.org to apply for the position.Job Types: Full-time, ContractBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
