<ul><li>Build effects systems for real time animation</li><li>
Design particle and fluid simulations to create stunning effects</li><li>
Collaborate with graphics engineers to utilize proprietary effects systems</li><li>
Collaborate with creative leadership to design effects elements</li><li>
Design, implement, and maintain tools for a new VR production pipeline</li></ul>
<p>Requirements</p>
<ul><li>3+ years experience as an animator in film, commercials or game effects.</li><li>
Strong eye for motion and lighting for effects elements</li><li>
Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages</li><li>
Knowledge of Houdini effects tools</li><li>
Demo reel that demonstrates previous effects work</li></ul>
<p>Preferred</p>
<ul><li>Knowledge of C++</li><li>
Experience creating effects in Unreal Engine</li><li>
Experience with virtual reality</li><li>
Knowledge of real time effects techniques</li><li>
Ability to profile and optimize effects systems</li><li>

<ul><li>Create characters and environments working with the Designers, Riggers, and Animators.</li><li>
Ability to model in a variety of styles.</li><li>
Model assets accurately from provided concept art.</li><li>
Follow art direction and technical requirements.</li><li>
Manage models during production and make adjustments when necessary.</li><li>
Collaborate with the rest of the team to find solutions to challenges that arise.</li><li>
Develop new techniques and processes to make production run smoothly.</li><li>
Consistently meet production goals as assigned by Production Management.</li></ul>
<p>Requirements</p>
<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years of CG modeling experience in Film, Television, or Video Game production.</li><li>
Avid interest in the possibilities of Augmented and Virtual Reality.</li><li>
Ability to demonstrate both high-poly and low-poly modeling techniques.</li><li>
Proficient with Maya and/or equivalent programs.</li><li>
Able to work collaboratively, as well as independently.</li><li>
Self-motivated, excellent communicator, and a great team-player.</li><li>
Solid and consistent time-management skills.</li></ul>

CG Modeler

Penrose is looking for riggers/character technical directors to artfully mold 3D models into movable and appealing characters in the new mediums of Virtual and Augmented Reality.</i></p>
<div></div><p>Responsibilities</p>
<ul><li>Design, create, test and maintain character rigs/setups.</li><li>
Work with the modelers to create a model that meets technical needs.</li><li>
Collaborate with animators to design motion controls.</li><li>
Develop and maintain character motion and deformation systems.</li><li>
Capable of writing pipeline tools to streamline the setup process.</li><li>
Develop new techniques and processes to solve character production challenges.</li><li>
Consistently meet production goals as assigned by Production Management.</li></ul>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years of rigging experience in Film, Television, or Video Game production</li><li>
A thorough understanding of anatomy, bio-mechanics, skinning and topology to produce appealing deformations</li><li>
Proficient with Maya and/or equivalent 3D program.</li><li>
Scripting skills in Maya API, MEL scripting, Python and/or equivalents</li><li>
Experience with setting up production pipelines while being able to follow guidelines</li><li>
Real time engine experience preferred (such as Unity, Unreal Engine 4)</li><li>
Additional experience with Animation, 3D modeling, and/or Texturing is a plus</li><li>
Experience with mo-cap animation pipelines is a plus</li><li>
Avid interest in the possibilities of Virtual Reality</li><li>
Self-motivated, excellent communicator, and a great team-player attitude</li><li>
Solid and consistent time-management skills.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Work with the Director to help establish and maintain the animation style and feel.</li><li>
Create believable character and creature animation as well as prop animation.</li><li>
Plan shots with an understanding of story and character context.</li><li>
Remain current and up-to-date in animation techniques and Virtual Reality workflow.</li><li>
Collaborate with the rest of the team to find solutions to challenges that arise.</li><li>
Develop a working knowledge of necessary production tools.</li><li>
Consistently meet production goals as assigned by Production Management.</li></ul>
<p>Requirements</p>
<ul><li><b>Acting and subtext!! </b>Must have strong acting skills and solid physicality to create entertaining and emotionally driven believable performances, with clear timing, weight, emotional states and appeal.</li><li>
Must be able to tell a story with a strong sense of Personality (pantomime and dialogue).</li><li>
Able to show progress on a short time period (or as the production requires).</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of animation experience in Film, Television, or Video Game production.</li><li>
Avid interest in the possibilities of Virtual Reality.</li><li>
Proficient with Maya and/or equivalent program.</li><li>
Self-motivated, excellent communicator, and a great team-player attitude.</li><li>
