Accounting Associate/BookkeeperWe are looking for a skilled Accounting Associate/Bookkeeper to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and clerical tasks. Accounting Associate will run accounting software programs to process business transactions for Accounts Payable(to consist of PO Expenditures, Direct Expenditures, and Travel/Employee Expenditures) and Document Scanning/Indexing. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Associate will ensure that the company&rsquo;s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.Responsibilities to include Accounts Payable, Docuware Scanning/Indexing and other Accounting/Clerical duties:Accounts Payable:<ul><li>Verify Invoice with packing slip and receiving documents</li><li>Enter A/P Invoices in Accounting Systems</li><li>Process payment of AP invoices according to terms and disburse payments</li><li>Communicate with Vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.</li><li>Communicate with Purchasing Team to resolve Purchase Order/ Direct Expenditure receipt discrepancies.</li><li>Verify/Confirm Positive Pay transactions daily</li><li>Verify &amp; Review Travel/ Employee Expenditure documents for accuracy and processing</li><li>Other Accounts Payable duties as needed</li></ul>Docuware Scanning/Indexing:<ul><li>Prepare/Scan/Index AP Invoices weekly</li><li>Prepare/Scan/Index other Accounting documents as needed</li></ul>Other Responsibilities to include:<ul><li>Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department</li><li>Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records</li><li>Prepare general ledger postings and statements daily</li><li>Provide assistance and support to company personnel</li><li>Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies</li><li>Compile reports/summaries to Upper Management per Month End and Year End Closing Activities.</li><li>Function duties in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws</li><li>Constantly update job knowledge through provided training</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Payable clerk</li><li>Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures</li><li>Competency in MS Office(Excel, Word, etc), databases and accounting software</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Aptitude for numbers</li><li>Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks</li><li>Data entry and word processing skills</li><li>Well organized</li><li>Pleasant Attitude</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeSalary: starting at $16.50/ hour, negotiable based on education and experienceExperience:<ul><li>Accounting/Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent</li><li>Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Day Shift (M-F 8am-5pm)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.50 - $19.50 per hourExpected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting/Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
