Provides unified leadership for all transportation functions, including student routing, dispatching, fleet maintenance, and staff supervision. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Team Leadership and Supervision
<ul><li>Provides leadership for all aspects of staff supervision including selection of new team members, performance evaluations and employee discipline.</li><li>
Direct and lead all transportation staff, including the Routing Specialist, Dispatcher, Bus Drivers, Bus Attendants and Mechanics.</li><li>
Coordinate and oversee training for drivers and assistants to ensure they maintain required licensing and certifications.</li><li>
Promote and maintain professional working relationships with both staff and external vendors.</li><li>
Provide unified leadership for all transportation functions to ensure a cohesive department.</li></ul>
Fleet &amp; Operations Management<ul><li>
Oversee the mechanical shop to ensure the school bus fleet and district vehicles are maintained for safe and efficient operations.</li><li>
Manage student transportation routing and dispatching to ensure safe and timely arrival for all daily routes.</li><li>
Maintain rigorous vehicle safety inspection schedules and all associated documentation.</li><li>
Apply mathematical concepts, such as fractions and percentages, to manage technical data and fleet logistics.</li></ul> 
Safety &amp; Regulatory Compliance<ul><li>
Ensure all transportation operations comply strictly with DOT regulations and state requirements.</li><li>
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of State and Federal Rules regarding student transportation and the rights of students with disabilities.</li><li>
Maintain detailed knowledge of district roadways and emergency facilities to ensure student safety.</li><li>
Ability to handle data input.</li></ul> 
Administrative &amp; Strategic Planning<ul><li>
Utilize analytical thinking and planning ahead to solve practical problems with limited standardization.</li><li>
Develop technical writing for reports and correspondence to communicate department needs effectively.</li><li>
Present information clearly and effectively to families/guardians and district stakeholders.</li><li>

Auxiliary Responsibilities<ul><li>
Maintains operational flexibility to address emerging needs and performs other related professional duties as assigned to ensure uninterrupted District services and operational excellence.</li></ul> 
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
5 years&rsquo; experience as a certified school bus driver</li><li>
Supervisory or personnel management experience</li><li>
Valid class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements</li><li>
DPS Classroom and Behind the Wheel Trainer certificates</li></ul> 
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
College course work</li><li>
Training in administration or management</li><li>
Training in professional communication</li></ul> 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 
Knowledge of:<ul><li>
State and Federal Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines relative to student transportation; rights of students with disabilities and parent rights; and detailed knowledge of district roadways and emergency facilities.</li></ul>
Skilled in:<ul><li>
Technical writing for reports and correspondence; application of mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios); and effective presentation of information to the public.</li></ul>
Ability to:<ul><li>
Solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret instructions in various forms (written, oral, diagram); and promote harmonious working relationships with staff and vendors.</li></ul>

Transportation Coordinator

<div>Preschool: DLI Program Vacancy 
Placement range depending on experience: $50,535.00 to $69,962.00. 
SUMMARY: To create a flexible instructional program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students assigned to the Preschool Classroom, to motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with each pupil's ability; to establish good relationships with other staff members. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>
Effectively utilizes district technologies appropriate to the position and assumes responsibility for attending district training needed to successfully perform designated responsibilities as directed by supervisor.</li><li>
Maintains regular attendance.</li><li>
Complies with State Law and District policies and regulations.</li><li>
Maintains a safe environment for students, conducive to learning.</li><li>
Teaches district-approved curriculum.</li><li>
Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified by District policy.</li><li>
Develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.</li><li>
Task analyzes and translates lessons into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.</li><li>
Models lessons for students.</li><li>
Uses effective Classroom Management techniques.</li><li>
Establishes, shares, and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.</li><li>
Anticipates and effectively addresses unforeseen crises associated with working with large groups of children.</li><li>
Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.</li><li>
Identifies pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals and develops strategies for individual education plans.</li><li>
Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the student.</li></ul> 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises classroom employees, students and volunteers.
