This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a lively, fast-paced setting.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care.</li><li>Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service.</li><li>Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.</li><li>Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf&eacute; area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.</li><li>Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance.</li><li>Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries or light snacks as needed.</li><li>Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service.</li><li>Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.</li><li>Uphold health regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.</li><li>Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet daily goals.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.</li><li>Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.</li><li>Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.</li><li>Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques.</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.</li><li>Familiarity with retail math concepts related to sales, cash handling, and inventory control is a plus.</li><li>A proactive approach to serving customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
