Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries or light snacks as needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service.
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
• Uphold health regulations related to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts related to sales, cash handling, and inventory control is a plus.
