Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.Duties:<ul><li>Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.</li><li>Review, prioritize, and respond to emails.</li><li>Manage the calendar, including scheduling appointments.</li><li>Draft, review, and implement various legal, insurance, estate planning, and annuity documents.</li><li>Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.</li><li>Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and client needs are addressed.</li></ul>Estate Planning Support:<ul><li>Prepare materials and folders for client meetings.</li><li>Enter and organize client intake information.</li><li>Make client confirmation calls .</li><li>Assist with drafting engagement letters.</li></ul>Signings &amp; Follow-Up:<ul><li>Witness document signings when needed.</li><li>Prepare client binders and copies of documents.</li><li>Scan and store original signed documents</li></ul>Office Support:<ul><li>Prepare and update marketing folders.</li><li>Sort and distribute incoming mail.</li><li>File original legal documents in storage.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.</li><li>A self-starter with the drive to seek out opportunities and take initiative.</li><li>Strong skills in legal research, writing, and transcribing documents.</li><li>Knowledge of Estate Planning law regulations is a plus.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.</li></ul>If you are passionate about the legal field and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to contribute to our team.Job Type: Full-timePay: $31,200.00 - $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Barrington, IL 60010 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Barrington, IL 60010: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
