Legal Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.

Duties:

• Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
• Review, prioritize, and respond to emails.
• Manage the calendar, including scheduling appointments.
• Draft, review, and implement various legal, insurance, estate planning, and annuity documents.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met and client needs are addressed.

Estate Planning Support:

• Prepare materials and folders for client meetings.
• Enter and organize client intake information.
• Make client confirmation calls .
• Assist with drafting engagement letters.

Signings & Follow-Up:

• Witness document signings when needed.
• Prepare client binders and copies of documents.
• Scan and store original signed documents

Office Support:

• Prepare and update marketing folders.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• File original legal documents in storage.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• A self-starter with the drive to seek out opportunities and take initiative.
• Strong skills in legal research, writing, and transcribing documents.
• Knowledge of Estate Planning law regulations is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,200.00 - $40,000.00 per year
