POSITION OVERVIEW Quicklotz is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer &amp; AI Systems Architect to join our fast-growing team. This is a high-impact, full-ownership role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. You will be the primary architect and developer of our core technology stack &mdash; designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade software platforms that power our liquidation, recommerce, and e-commerce operations.This position demands deep technical expertise, a bias for action, and an obsession with integrating cutting-edge AI into every layer of the software we build. Beyond internal use, the platforms you create will be architected as licensable SaaS products, making you a key contributor to a significant revenue stream.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPlatform Development<ul><li>Design and develop a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory, inbound/outbound logistics, and fulfillment operations</li><li>Build a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform tailored to the B2B and B2C customer base across Quicklotz brands</li><li>Develop a customer-facing self-service portal enabling account management, order tracking, and support ticketing</li><li>Create internal tooling and dashboards for operations, analytics, and reporting</li></ul>Web &amp; E-Commerce<ul><li>Modernize and maintain company websites across the brand family</li><li>Ensure seamless front-end/back-end integration between websites and internal WMS, CRM, and marketplace systems</li><li>Optimize for performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and conversion across all web properties</li></ul>Scanning &amp; Multi-Channel Listing Platform<ul><li>Develop a scanning and listing platform for rapid item intake, photography, condition grading, and description generation</li><li>Build real-time synchronization across the company's auction platform, eBay, Amazon, Shopify, and other marketplaces</li><li>Implement inventory deduplication, quantity management, and automated delisting upon sale across all channels simultaneously</li></ul>AI Integration &amp; Innovation<ul><li>Integrate AI/LLM capabilities (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) into all platforms &mdash; including automated listing descriptions, customer service bots, demand forecasting, and pricing intelligence</li><li>Choose RAG-based AI knowledge agent for product Q&amp;A via WhatsApp and web chat</li><li>Stay current with rapidly evolving AI tooling and proactively identify opportunities to apply new capabilities</li><li>Architect all systems with AI-readiness as a first-class design principle</li></ul>SaaS Licensing Architecture<ul><li>Design all internal platforms with multi-tenancy and white-label licensing in mind from day one</li><li>Build a licensable SaaS for the WMS, scanning platform, and listing sync tools that can be sold globally to other recommerce and liquidation operators</li><li>Implement proper security, access control, and data isolation appropriate for a licensable product</li></ul>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>5+ years of full-stack software development experience</li><li>Experience in e-commerce, logistics, warehouse, or recommerce software environments</li><li>Proficiency in modern web frameworks (such as React, Next.js, Node.js, or equivalent)</li><li>Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)</li><li>Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL API design and integration</li><li>Demonstrated experience building and deploying cloud-hosted applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure)</li><li>Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms</li><li>Experience integrating with marketplace APIs (eBay, Amazon SP-API, Shopify, or similar)</li><li>Practical experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered features in production</li><li>Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalable patterns</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Familiarity with barcode/QR scanning workflows and hardware integrations</li><li>Knowledge of WhatsApp Business API or similar messaging platform integrations</li><li>Background in auction platforms or real-time bidding systems</li><li>Experience with RAG architecture, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.), and LangChain or similar frameworks</li></ul>WHAT WE OFFER<ul><li>Competitive base salary commensurate with experience</li><li>Performance-based bonuses tied to platform milestones and business growth</li><li>Ownership mentality &mdash; you will have significant influence over architectural decisions</li><li>Direct access to company leadership with fast decision-making cycles</li><li>Opportunity to grow into a CTO or VP of Engineering role as the company scales</li><li>Work at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and logistics &mdash; a fast-moving and high-opportunity space</li></ul>ABOUT USQuicklotz is a North Carolina-based leader in truckload liquidation, recommerce, and reverse logistics.
