Lead Software Engineer & AI Systems Architect

POSITION OVERVIEW
Quicklotz is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer & AI Systems Architect to join our fast-growing team. This is a high-impact, full-ownership role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. You will be the primary architect and developer of our core technology stack — designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade software platforms that power our liquidation, recommerce, and e-commerce operations.

This position demands deep technical expertise, a bias for action, and an obsession with integrating cutting-edge AI into every layer of the software we build. Beyond internal use, the platforms you create will be architected as licensable SaaS products, making you a key contributor to a significant revenue stream.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform Development

Design and develop a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory, inbound/outbound logistics, and fulfillment operations
Build a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform tailored to the B2B and B2C customer base across Quicklotz brands
Develop a customer-facing self-service portal enabling account management, order tracking, and support ticketing
Create internal tooling and dashboards for operations, analytics, and reporting

Web & E-Commerce

Modernize and maintain company websites across the brand family
Ensure seamless front-end/back-end integration between websites and internal WMS, CRM, and marketplace systems
Optimize for performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and conversion across all web properties

Scanning & Multi-Channel Listing Platform

Develop a scanning and listing platform for rapid item intake, photography, condition grading, and description generation
Build real-time synchronization across the company's auction platform, eBay, Amazon, Shopify, and other marketplaces
Implement inventory deduplication, quantity management, and automated delisting upon sale across all channels simultaneously

AI Integration & Innovation

Integrate AI/LLM capabilities (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) into all platforms — including automated listing descriptions, customer service bots, demand forecasting, and pricing intelligence
Choose RAG-based AI knowledge agent for product Q&A via WhatsApp and web chat
Stay current with rapidly evolving AI tooling and proactively identify opportunities to apply new capabilities
Architect all systems with AI-readiness as a first-class design principle

SaaS Licensing Architecture

Design all internal platforms with multi-tenancy and white-label licensing in mind from day one
Build a licensable SaaS for the WMS, scanning platform, and listing sync tools that can be sold globally to other recommerce and liquidation operators
Implement proper security, access control, and data isolation appropriate for a licensable product

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of full-stack software development experience
Experience in e-commerce, logistics, warehouse, or recommerce software environments
Proficiency in modern web frameworks (such as React, Next.js, Node.js, or equivalent)
Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Hands-on experience with REST and GraphQL API design and integration
Demonstrated experience building and deploying cloud-hosted applications (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Experience integrating with marketplace APIs (eBay, Amazon SP-API, Shopify, or similar)
Practical experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered features in production
Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalable patterns

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with barcode/QR scanning workflows and hardware integrations
Knowledge of WhatsApp Business API or similar messaging platform integrations
Background in auction platforms or real-time bidding systems
Experience with RAG architecture, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.), and LangChain or similar frameworks

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
