Asphalt Crew Lead &ndash; Paving (Durango, CO) Job type: Full-time (In-person) Location: Durango, CO 81301 Pay: Starting at $35 an Hour (based on experience) Hours: 40&ndash;60 hours per week (overtime opportunities available)Job Description Planet Paving Services is looking for a skilled and reliable Asphalt Crew Lead to join our team in Durango, Colorado. We&rsquo;re a locally owned paving company specializing in residential and commercial paving, asphalt repairs, crack sealing, and seal coating.As an Asphalt Crew Lead, you&rsquo;ll oversee paving crews, operate paving machinery, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with on-the-ground asphalt expertise. The ideal candidate has the confidence, experience, and technical knowledge to train, mentor, and lead a crew in all aspects of asphalt work, including paving, patching, crack sealing, seal coating, and proper jobsite procedures.Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate asphalt paving equipment, rollers, skid steers, and related machinery</li><li>Oversee and coordinate paving crews on job sites</li><li>Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and basic equipment maintenance</li><li>Read and follow blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes</li><li>Perform crack sealing, seal coating, asphalt placement, and compaction</li><li>Work collaboratively with crew members and project managers</li><li>Follow all company and OSHA safety standards</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years of experience in asphalt paving</li><li>Leadership experience or ability to supervise a crew preferred, willing to train</li><li>Familiarity with paving processes, asphalt mix, compaction techniques, and seal coating</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions</li><li>Dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused</li><li>Authorized to work in the United States</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Paid time off (PTO)</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Steady, full-time hours with overtime opportunities</li><li>Work outdoors in beautiful Southwest Colorado</li><li>Opportunities to operate a variety of paving equipment and gain new certifications</li><li>Supportive, family-oriented team environment</li><li>Local projects &mdash; be home every night</li></ul>About Planet Paving Services Planet Paving Services is a locally owned and operated company serving the Durango, CO area.
