Are you a kind, caring, self-motivated, energetic individual?Do you have a passion for educating and caring for young children?Then Play &amp; Learn Christian Child Care is seeking to hire someone just like you to provide quality childcare and early childhood education in a safe and supportive Christian environment where young children are able to grow in body, mind, and spirit.Interested applicants for this job must exhibit:<ul><li>Genuine love and care for young children</li><li>Empathy and compassion</li><li>Patience and kindness</li><li>Professionalism, tact, and respect for others</li><li>Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, and planning /organizational skills</li><li>Creativity and flexibility</li><li>Self-motivation, initiative, enthusiasm and excitement for learning</li><li>Knowledge in child development and age-appropriate milestones</li></ul>Daily roles and responsibilities include:<ul><li>Planning daily activities and implementing curriculum</li><li>Developing schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime</li><li>Creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment</li><li>Observing, assessing, and documenting each assigned child&rsquo;s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development</li><li>Directly supervising children at all times and ensuring their safety</li><li>Responding appropriately to individual children&rsquo;s basic needs and learning styles</li><li>Communicating frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects and actions and using open ended questions.</li><li>Teaching basic skills such as color, shape, numbers, and letter recognition</li><li>Helping children develop confidence and positive self-images</li><li>Encouraging creativity, curiosity, and the healthy exploration of interests</li><li>Teaching children how to share, take turns, and play fairly with others</li><li>Practicing age-appropriate behavior management and positive reinforcement</li><li>Modeling appropriate behavior and acting as a positive role model</li></ul>Employment requirements include:<ul><li>At a minimum, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.</li><li>College coursework in early childhood education or a related field and/or experience in a child care center are highly preferred but not required.</li><li>Clear criminal record</li></ul>Play &amp; Learn offers competitive pay, benefits, and paid training.
