Toddler Teacher (Full Time)

Daily roles and responsibilities include:

• Planning daily activities and implementing curriculum
• Developing schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
• Observing, assessing, and documenting each assigned child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development
• Directly supervising children at all times and ensuring their safety
• Responding appropriately to individual children’s basic needs and learning styles
• Communicating frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects and actions and using open ended questions.
• Teaching basic skills such as color, shape, numbers, and letter recognition
• Helping children develop confidence and positive self-images
• Encouraging creativity, curiosity, and the healthy exploration of interests
• Teaching children how to share, take turns, and play fairly with others
• Practicing age-appropriate behavior management and positive reinforcement
• Modeling appropriate behavior and acting as a positive role model

Employment requirements include:

• At a minimum, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
• College coursework in early childhood education or a related field and/or experience in a child care center are highly preferred but not required.
• Clear criminal record
