Job Summary This position provides direct support to the Administrative Manager (including remote coordination) and plays a key role in maintaining daily office operations, customer service, and administrative workflow within the District. CompensationAdministrative Manager I:<ul><li>Hourly: $24.00 &ndash; $29.17</li><li>Annual: $49,912 &ndash; $60,669</li></ul>Administrative Manager II:<ul><li>Hourly: $33.59 &ndash; $40.82</li><li>Annual: $69,858 &ndash; $84,913</li></ul>Position OverviewThe Plumas Eureka Community Services District (PECSD) is seeking a highly capable Administrative Manager/Clerk to the Board to oversee daily office operations, support District governance, and manage financial and administrative functions.This role serves as the central administrative hub of the District and requires a high level of independence, discretion, and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesBoard &amp; Governance Support<ul><li>Serve as Clerk to the Board of Directors</li><li>Prepare Board agendas, packets, and official minutes</li><li>Ensure compliance with public meeting laws (Brown Act)</li><li>Maintain official records of Board actions</li></ul>Administrative Operations<ul><li>Manage day-to-day District office operations</li><li>Serve as administrative support to the General Manager and Fire Chief</li><li>Draft correspondence, reports, and communications</li><li>Respond to public, customer, and agency inquiries</li></ul>Financial &amp; Accounting Functions<ul><li>Perform bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping</li><li>Manage utility billing and customer accounts</li><li>Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger</li><li>Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and audits</li><li>Monitor cash flow and support financial planning</li></ul>Records &amp; Public Transparency<ul><li>Maintain official District files and records</li><li>Manage and update District website content to ensure compliance and accessibility</li><li>Provide public access to agendas, minutes, and reports</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Valid California driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative experience</li><li>Minimum two (2) years of accounting or fiscal recordkeeping experience</li><li>Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, and accounting software</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field</li><li>Experience in governmental or public agency accounting</li><li>Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)</li><li>Experience with Board Clerk duties and public meeting compliance</li></ul>Position LevelThis position may be filled at either:<ul><li>Administrative Manager I (entry level)</li><li>Administrative Manager II (advanced level with governmental accounting experience)</li></ul>Important NoteThis is a high-responsibility role within a small public agency and requires the ability to operate independently and manage multiple critical functions.Transition SupportThe District anticipates a transition period during which limited remote support may be available to assist with onboarding and training.How to ApplySubmit a resume and cover letter outlining relevant experience.Pay: $24.00 - $40.82 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s): * 1) Board Clerk / Public Meetings - Do you have experience preparing agendas, attending meetings, and taking official minutes for a board or similar governing body?
