Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our emergency response team. This role is crucial in providing life-saving medical care and firefighting services to our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to public safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.Responsibilities<ul><li>Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire suppression and medical assistance.</li><li>Assess patients' conditions, administer first aid, CPR, and Advanced life support as needed.</li><li>Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.</li><li>Educate the community on fire safety practices.</li><li>Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and apparatus through regular inspections and maintenance.</li><li>Collaborate with other emergency services personnel during incidents to ensure effective response.</li><li>Document patient care reports accurately and maintain records as required by protocols.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>State of Ohio Firefighter 1 or 2 Certification is required.</li><li>State of Ohio Paramedic Certification is Required.</li><li>ACLS certification</li><li>CPR-BLS Certification</li><li>Proficiency in assessing vital signs and providing first aid treatment.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge for the maintenance of firefighting equipment is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and the public.</li></ul>This position requires a proactive approach to emergency situations, a commitment to ongoing training, and a passion for serving the community.
