Firefighter/EMT

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as Firefighter/EMTs. In this critical role, you will be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing fire, rescue, medical assistance, and ensuring the safety of the community. Your ability to perform under pressure and work collaboratively with other emergency services will be essential in saving lives and protecting property.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the appropriate course of action.
• Provide basic life support, first aid, and CPR to injured or ill individuals.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate patient records during transport.
• Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles safely and effectively.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist patients or carry equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on firefighting and medical equipment to ensure readiness.
• Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain skills and knowledge of emergency response protocols.
• Collaborate with other emergency personnel during incidents to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

• State of Ohio EMT-Basic Certification is required.
• Minimum of a State of Ohio Firefighter 1 Certification is Required.
• State of Ohio Firefighter 2 Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in First Aid and CPR techniques is essential.
• Ability to assess and monitor vital signs accurately.
• Strong physical fitness level to handle heavy lifting and strenuous activities.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for maintaining equipment functionality.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development within the field.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.75 - $18.25 per hour
