Duties

• Respond swiftly to wildfire incidents, deploying firefighting techniques to contain and extinguish fires effectively
• Conduct fire line construction, including clearing brush and creating firebreaks to prevent the spread of wildfires
• Perform patrols in designated areas to monitor fire activity and identify potential hazards or new fire starts
• Assist with prescribed burns under supervision to reduce fuel loads and mitigate future wildfire risks
• Operate specialized equipment such as chainsaws, pumps, hoses, and vehicles safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting, strenuous physical activity, and work in rugged outdoor conditions for extended periods
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and during emergency wildfire events
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and emergency responders
• Profide all certificates and taskbooks for position.
• 2026 RT130 with packtest
• Must pass Drug screen

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week

License/Certification:

• Need to be FFT 2, FFT 1 or Engine boss certified (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Preferred)
