We have great working hours, competitive wages for all positions, and we even provide a free, healthy meal during your shift.<ul><li>Position Description:</li></ul>The cook is responsible for the safe, efficient, consistent, and accurate production of food in the central kitchen.<ul><li>Job Duties:</li><li>The Cook position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager</li><li>Use of safe and sanitary practices at all times.</li><li>Arrive to work on time, in proper uniform.</li><li>Adhere to the policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.</li><li>Complete checklist of daily tasks</li><li>Consistently follow policies on safety, sanitation, and cleanliness:</li><li>Ensure the safe temperature of foods (outside of the danger zone) of foods at all times.</li><li>Proper hygiene and handwashing at all times.</li><li>Maintaining a clean and sanitary work area by properly using cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.</li><li>Removing of trash and waste from the kitchen area.</li><li>Keeping the floors free of debris and clutter to avoid slips and trips.</li><li>Cleaning and mopping the kitchen area.</li><li>Completion of the daily cleaning checklist.</li><li>Uphold a clean and sanitary work area including work surfaces, kitchen equipment, utensils, and food storage areas. Follows a regular cleaning schedule.</li><li>Quality Control</li><li>Follows standardized recipes and portion measurement techniques to ensure regulatory standards are met and an accurate amount of food is produced for each batch.</li><li>Applies principles of batch cooking to ensure optimum food quality and preparation of correct amounts of food required for production needs.</li><li>Consistent and accurately records amounts of food prepared and leftover/waste items.</li><li>Follows food safety guidelines regarding time and temperatures.</li><li>Elevates concerns regarding food quality or waste to the Kitchen Manager.</li><li>Physical Requirements</li><li>Must be able to lift 40-50lbs repeatedly throughout the work day.</li><li>Work at a pace to keep processes efficient and running in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards of operation.</li><li>Must be able to handle equipment safely according to proper instructions and use of equipment.</li><li>Use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
