Job DescriptionTitle:Mechanical DesignerDescription:The primary role of the Mechanical Designer is to design projects using CAD software. This role will design and quote orders from Sales Rep directives. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Use CAD software to design guarding</li><li>Create project quote</li><li>Create purchase forms and work with Purchasing department on parts lists</li><li>Provide technical support internally and externally</li><li>Collaborate with Mechanical Engineer on project solutions</li><li>Perform Research and Development work</li><li>Spend time on personal development</li><li>Other Duties assigned by PowerSafe Automation leadership</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>1 years of experience using CAD software</li><li>Must present and communicate in a professional manner&#8239;</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills&#8239;</li><li>Must be organized with good time management skills&#8239;</li><li>Possess proven analytical / problem-solving solutions for the customer and company&#8239;</li><li>Background in safety market and general overview of OSHA guidelines&#8239;</li><li>Computer / Smartphone proficiency&#8239;</li><li>Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed engineering goals&#8239;</li><li>Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work locations&#8239;</li><li>Ability to &ldquo;hand-draft&rdquo; customer project requirements&#8239;</li></ul>Salary and Benefits:<ul><li>Salary Range: $18 &ndash; $24 based on experience</li><li>Full time: 40 hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines</li><li>All company benefits are offered after 60 days</li></ul>This job description is intended to describe the general duties of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.&#8239; It does not prescribe or restrict the work that may be assigned.
