Mechanical Designer

Description:

The primary role of the Mechanical Designer is to design projects using CAD software. This role will design and quote orders from Sales Rep directives.

Responsibilities:

• Use CAD software to design guarding
• Create project quote
• Create purchase forms and work with Purchasing department on parts lists
• Provide technical support internally and externally
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineer on project solutions
• Perform Research and Development work
• Spend time on personal development
• Other Duties assigned by PowerSafe Automation leadership

Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience using CAD software
• Must present and communicate in a professional manner 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must be organized with good time management skills 
• Possess proven analytical / problem-solving solutions for the customer and company 
• Background in safety market and general overview of OSHA guidelines 
• Computer / Smartphone proficiency 
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed engineering goals 
• Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work locations 
• Ability to “hand-draft” customer project requirements 

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $18 – $24 based on experience
• Full time: 40 hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines
• All company benefits are offered after 60 days
