Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Dental Assistant with Radiologic proficiency to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing advanced clinical procedures, assisting with complex dental treatments, and ensuring smooth practice operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills within a supportive team dedicated to excellence in general and pediatric dentistry.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring precision and patient comfort.</li><li>Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to strict radiation safety and infection prevention management standards.</li><li>Process and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Denticon ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions, supporting comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Operate advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and dental X-ray machines to facilitate accurate diagnoses.</li><li>Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and providing education on oral health practices.</li><li>Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation efficiently.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in expanded functions procedures within a busy dental clinic setting.</li><li>Familiarity with Denticon is highly desirable.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.</li><li>Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is preferred.</li><li>Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety protocols for patients and staff.</li><li>Knowledge of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and other advanced diagnostic tools is a plus.</li></ul>Join our team where your skills will be valued, your growth supported, and your commitment to patient care celebrated!Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Uniform allowance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
