Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Dental Assistant with Radiologic proficiency to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring precision and patient comfort.
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to strict radiation safety and infection prevention management standards.
• Process and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Denticon ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions, supporting comprehensive patient care.
• Operate advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and dental X-ray machines to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and providing education on oral health practices.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records and documentation efficiently.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in expanded functions procedures within a busy dental clinic setting.
• Familiarity with Denticon is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
• Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety protocols for patients and staff.
• Knowledge of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and other advanced diagnostic tools is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
