About UsWe are a full-service real estate investment and management company with a diverse portfolio of commercial assets. We are looking for a seasoned Controller level accounting manager to oversee property and corporate-level accounting, investor reporting, and compliance functions.Responsibilities<ul><li>Property &amp; Corporate Accounting</li><li>Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all cash accounts.</li><li>Review Positive Pay ledgers and resolve exceptions with banks.</li><li>Manage monthly funding requests, management fees, and journal intercompany transfers.</li><li>Prepare income/expense reports for local jurisdictions and ensure timely property tax compliance.</li><li>Support setup of new entities, bank accounts, and accounting system integrations.</li><li>Investor &amp; Lender Reporting</li><li>Prepare and review monthly and quarterly property financial packages (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, Rent Roll, AR Aging, etc.) for a group of properties.</li><li>Coordinate and upload quarterly investor reporting through Premier&rsquo;s investment CRM platform (Agora), including managing and entering distributions.</li><li>Manage quarterly and annual lender compliance reporting, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and on time.</li><li>Review and process quarterly investor and owner distributions</li><li>Review and process additional investor and owner distributions as needed and when there are sale transactions</li><li>Oversight &amp; Controls</li><li>Create and review journal entries for ACH transactions and other adjustments.</li><li>Monitor internal reporting trackers (distribution worksheets, property tax schedules, bank rec status).</li><li>Work closely with outside accountants and auditors on reconciliations, compliance, income tax payments, and year-end filings.</li><li>Assist leadership with cash management.</li><li>Leadership &amp; Support</li><li>Partner with senior management on all accounting and financial issues.</li><li>Supervise accounting workflows in Rent Manager, AvidXchange, and Agora.</li><li>Provide oversight, guidance, and support to accounting/administrative staff handling day-to-day invoice processing, rent deposits, and other clerical duties.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in commercial real estate or property management.</li><li>Strong experience with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools; Rent Manager, AvidXchange, and Agora experience a plus.</li><li>CPA designation preferred but not required.</li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple entities, properties, and investor structures.</li><li>Team-oriented, detail-driven, and eager to grow with the company</li><li>Ability to handle a fast-paced environment often involving time-sensitive financial and transaction-related matters.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>What town/city do you live in? </li><li>Confirm that you can you be in the office 8 hours/day and 5 days/week?</li><li>Do you have a CPA (not required but preferred)?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>multi-entity property accounting: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
