This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with students, develop creative lesson plans, and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, growth, and success.Duties<ul><li>Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for second-grade students.</li><li>Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.</li><li>Support literacy education, math skills, and early childhood development through innovative teaching methods.</li><li>Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enhance student understanding and participation.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support individualized learning plans, including special education and early intervention services.</li><li>Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing and formative assessments; provide tutoring as needed.</li><li>Mentor students in social-emotional skills, promote inclusive practices for working with children with autism or other special needs, and facilitate library services for literacy growth.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged children, especially in second grade.</li><li>Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques.</li><li>Ability to manage classrooms efficiently while implementing behavior management strategies.</li><li>Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and education administration tasks.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with autism or special education needs; knowledge of Montessori or private school teaching environments is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated mentoring abilities and commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
